Wow! The story line was unexpected and kept me turning pages even when I was exhausted. I couldn’t put this book down.
The creative way in which the author describes scenes (even mannerisms and complex feelings) paints a vivid picture and is just impressive. It’s quirky and honest story telling.
There’s quite a bit of sexual content and explicit language, so I would recommend this as an adult read.
You don’t expect to fall in love with characters in a book who are institutionalized for mental illness, yet you find something endearing about each.
Pay close attention to the details in this book, because the ending will leave your jaw on the floor and you’ll be flipping back looking for the details you noticed but didn’t commit to memory.

What a wonderful book! Made me laugh, a lot, and I think I might have even shed a tear or two. Took me by surprise which was refreshing as I usually figure out the ending at least half way in. Can't wait to read more by Emma Janson!
